Image by Getty Images via @daylifeIn Tennessee they are trying to pass a law that would ban elementary and middle schools from discussing homosexuality. The bill has become known as the "don't say gay" bill. The law would mandate that before ninth grade, teachers not "provide any instruction or material that discusses sexual orientation other than heterosexuality."Today, George Takei who played Mr. Sulu on Star Trek, and is openly gay, is offering to help teachers and students if this law does go through. I don't know about you but it seems to me that Mr. Sulu is firing the photon torpedoes at the Tennessee lawmakers. I hope they don't have their shields up.
